
Heungbo-ga, also called
Bak-taryeong (Song of the Gourd), is the story of a greedy and wicked brother, Nolbo, and his virtuous and younger brother,
Heugbo. Rich Nolbo drives out his younger brother. Outcast Heungbo experiences various hardships, but cures a gourd seed and he plants it. He helps a swallow with a broken leg one day. The next spring various treasures are created from the seeds he has planted which makes him wealthy. Nolbo breaks a swallow's leg on purpose to be richer, but is punished and repents after all.
